
Kay Kumaras Kalim | Director for Sustainable Environment Programs Division PNG Conservation and Environment Protection Authority
Kay Kumaras Kalim is the Director of Sustainable Environment Programs at Papua New Guinea’s Conservation and Environment Protection Authority (CEPA), with over three decades of experience in environmental management and policy. A graduate in Applied Chemistry from the PNG University of Technology, she has held key leadership roles including Director of the Enforcement Branch and Assistant Secretary for Water Resources.
As the national focal point for the Coral Triangle Initiative (CTI-CFF) and Project Director for all GEF projects in PNG, she has been instrumental in advancing marine conservation and protected area management, including the establishment of over 16,000 km² of Marine Protected Areas. Her work has strengthened national conservation strategies and fostered impactful partnerships with international organizations like UNDP and WWF.
